You could try looking at the Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH), published by the U.S. Department of Labor. It’s available online, but has some pretty broad/general categories for engineering occupations. If you are in school you could ask for the starting salaries statistics for other people graduating from your program. (My school kept that data to use as a “marketing tool” to attract new students, so I would assume you could track it down.) You can also google the position and look at the available statistics. Or check job postings and see what those are offering. But, like any job the salary will be dependent on your education/experience, location, job title & duties, as well as the specific employer/size of company. So the best you will be able to find based on your failry general question criteria will be a range of salaries.

What is your question?
