Where can I find good trail / hiking maps of Panama?
To the best of our knowledge, there are no really good hiking / trail maps available. Visit the hiking page on this site for maps showing the locations of the National parks as well as a couple of major trails (Pipeline road). Best procedure is to just go to the parks themselves and follow the signs… many of the parks, especially near Panama City, have trails that start at the park entrance. Also, ask the resident rangers. Finally, checking with local ecotour operators (eg Ancon expeditions at http://www.anconexpeditions.com ) is another good source of info.
