Where can i find good splenda recipes on line?
Regardless of what the people at Splenda say, it does NOT react the same way as real sugar. So you need to go by trial and error when baking with it. For basic chocolate chip cookies, you can get away with using it, but with sugar cookies, or shaped cookies, it will not work. It also doesn’t work for chocolate pie. As for canning, it will melt differently, so again, trial and error.
Hi. Since Splenda is an ounce for ounce substitute for sugar, you will be able to substitute the Splenda for the sugar. So any recipe that uses sugar as an ingredient – use the Splenda instead, in the exact same measurement. A good recipe website is called allrecipes.com. Click on Ingredients and you can list the ingredients you have on hand and it will give you different recipes using your ingredients. Hope this helps!
As everyone says a cup of regular sugar is replaced by one cup of Splenda. ONE EXCEPTION: Splenda regular won’t work when baking. You have to buy the Splenda Sugar Blend or you could use one cup regular sugar and one cup Splenda. I have the Splenda cookbook but there really isn’t all that much in it – it’s a very slim book. I use diabetic cookbooks along with Splenda and there are a lot of great recipes.
