Where can I find Geography books in the Main Library?
The Main Library in George Square contains a good stock of Geography books. All current Standard Loan and Short Loan books are shelved on the 4th floor. They are classified by the Library of Congress classification scheme, e.g. G – Geography. Older standard loan books are located on the 3rd floor at .91 onwards. The high use 3 hour loan Reserve collections are located on the ground floor. Periodicals can only be consulted within the Library. The Library has a Map Collection located on the 5th floor. One significant attraction of this Library is that it is open until 10 pm on weekdays during term, and is open from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and 12 noon to 5 pm on Sundays. Students experiencing difficulties in obtaining books recommended for tutorial reading or as source material for essays should consult the relevant Course Organiser.
