Where can I find free or low-cost diabetes coverage and services?
The Bureau of Primary Health Care within the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has a nationwide network of community-based health care centers that provide primary health care services at little or no cost. Hospitals and other health care facilities participating in HRSAs Hill-Burton Program provide free and low-cost services to eligible individuals. The State Childrens Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) provides free or low-cost health insurance for children. The Partnership for Prescription Assistance* provides information about public and private patient assistance programs, which help low-income, uninsured patients get free or nearly free brand-name medicines.
