Where can I find free images to use in a book I have written and plan to publish?
You could try Flickr.com. Do an “advanced search” and click on “Creative Commons” and “for commercial use” at the bottom. The search result will give you images which are free to use on webpages, blogs etc., provided you credit the photographer and include a link to their photostream. I have to admit, I don’t know whether that means you can use them in a printed book under the same conditions – so I would be on the safe side, and email the photographers for their permission, before using the images.
