Gaston College is a 2-year public school located just 22 miles outside of Charlotte, NC, in the small town of Dallas. This school provides associate degrees and certificate programs to almost 6,000 students each year. It offers two programs for aspiring EMTs, an emergency medical services bridging program and an emergency medical services paramedic program. Each training program results in an Associate in Applied Science degree. The EMS bridging program provides aspiring EMTs with the basic training and knowledge of pre-hospital emergency care necessary to transfer into a paramedic program.
