Where Can I Find EMT Training in Washington, DC?
The only public college in Washington, DC that offers EMT training is George Washington University, which does so through its health services programs. The 1-semester, 3-credit program provides the student with training in patient assessment, bleeding control, bandaging, splinting and general pre-hospital treatment of patients en route to the facility. At the conclusion of training, the student is competent in adult 1- or 2-person CPR, infant and child CPR and obstructed airway maneuvers.
