Where can I find copies of 1930s superman comics?
Considering that Superman was only first published in June 1938, you’ve only got a year and a half’s worth of material to work with. And since Superman is considered THE first superhero, all of the books are extremely rare, and very expensive. Also, Superman didn’t get his own book till the early 40’s. You’re looking for Action Comics, probably issues 1-18. These are some of the most sought after, rare, and ridiculously expensive comics in the world. My advice: go to this website: http://csls.diamondcomics.com/ Type in your zip code and find your nearest local comic book shop. There are hardback, anthology style versions of the books you’re looking for. There are probably 10 issues reprinted in each book. I think they’re arond 30 or 40 bucks a piece.
