Each year the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) consults with the Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board (PAWIB) to determine the new program content areas (25 KB PDF) critical to the economic growth of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for purposes of the NETS Program. PAWIB identifies high priority occupations and PDE identifies academic programs which would prepare for those occupations.
