Houston Community College offers introductory and intermediate emergency medical technician (EMT) training programs from the public safety division of its continuing education department. Both training programs are available days, evenings or through hybrid online courses. Training for EMT students includes coursework and clinical experiences in Houston facilities. After successfully completing the EMT training programs, graduates may take the Texas and national EMT exams and, upon passing, receive EMT certification.
