Named after the villainous Merovingian from the second and third Matrix movies, the tie is very, very classy and unique. Just think how you’ll look at the next formal event, when your boss and co-workers are wearing Windsor knots, at best. The knot didn’t originate with the Matrix trilogy, per se, but the original name – “the Ediety knot” – doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
