Where can I find a tiled background of dragon scales?
You can go to http://images.search.yahoo.com and search, for example, for iguana or komodo dragon. You’ll get a bunch of images. Click then on the “Wallpaper” link next to “Show:” to show only the large images, since you just want a section of the image and for that, the larger the image, the better. Select an image that has the type of scale you are looking for, go to its original web page, and download it. Then with an image editor cut a section of the image with just scales and use that image for your background. This may or may not work for your purposes, but it’s an idea.
