Where can I find a software program that will help me write a policy and procedure manual?”
It’s a little daunting to use at first, but if you go through the tutorial, it all makes a lot of sense, and Lyx does a great job formatting. You just enter the content, label each bit of content as what it is from a drop down menu (title, author, chapter heading, section heading, etc.), and the program takes care of all the formatting for you. You don’t have to worry about line spacing, page breaks, bolding of headings, etc. Once the program knows what your text is supposed to be and the ultimate format (book, in this case) it does everything else. The great thing about it is that you only have to worry about the content, not getting distracted by the formatting and layout.
