Where can I find a huge spelling list to study with?
There are lots of lists on the Internet for the 1,000 most misspelled words (and varying numbers, like 3,000, 5,000, etc.). You could also search for spelling lists or spelling tests by grade level (such as www.everydayspelling.com and www.edhelper.com). From Scripps Howard, you can find many spelling lists from the National Spelling Bee competitions at www.spellingbee.com. There are a number of published books about spelling, which include lists for study. Most spelling bee competitors use an unabridged dictionary (or dictionaries) to prepare, but you could start out with a collegiate-sized dictionary!
