I used to volunteer for Doberman rescue in Utah and Dobermans are not real abundant in Utah. We usually only had to foster sick dogs that were needing to recover before being adopted because there was always someone on a waiting list. Your best bet is to fill out an application with the Doberman rescue and get on a waiting list so when one does come in you are next in line. Every now and then one will end up in a shelter or a newspaper ad, but they are just not a popular dog in Utah, for some reason, and rescue is likely your best shot. Check petfinder and do a search on which rescues are near you.
