Are you looking for a modem or a router or a combo router/modem? If you are looking for a modem then You can look on line at Bestbuy, tigerdirect, and newegg.com, or Ebay if you want. If you install a new modem you have to get the MAC address off the bottom of the modem or the box and call your service provider and tell them you have a new modem and need it activated. They will then ask you for the MAC address you give that to them they will find it on their network and allow it to access the network. This goes for a modem or router modem combo unit. For a router just get anyone you want I prefer Linksys products as I am a Cisco fanboy and CCNA Certified. if you install a router you don’t have to do anything with your service provider just with your network. If you have never had a wireless router before you need to set it up. You will need to change the password to the router, then you will need to secure your wireless network so your lazy out of work neighbor can’t mooch off your ban
