Where can I find a 1 troy ounce silver coin?
You can buy gold and silver coins from a coin dealer or a collectible coin shop. I’m sure you can find some on ebay and amazon.com too. You will never be able to pay less than the spot price (so if it’s way less you know it’s a fake/silver plated not real silver coin) but right now silver is less than 20$/ounce so you are fine. With your price range, you could probably get a coin with numismatic (collectible) value. Check out the Lunar Series coins, which are some of my favorites. You can get your own chinese zodiac sign. Just call around to different shops and they will tell you what they have in stock.
