You might like to try Serif PhotoPlus 6. This is a free software. You’ll have to ignore the large red and white advert about £9.99, on the right hand side of the page. That’s for version 8! If you scroll down to just below that advert, you’ll see that version 6 is, in fact, free. It’s basically an advertising campaign to get you used to using Serif software. There are a number of other free programmes available from Serif. (Click on the hyperlinks at the top of the page to see them.) Best of luck to you.
