Where can I download free historical weather data for Europe?
This website may have what you need: National Climatic Data Center (www.ncdc.noaa.gov) You click on free data on the left, then scroll down to the Global Summary of the Day product. This does have data for weather stations around the globe not just the US. You can then go and select data for a range of sites for a range of times. They provide the data to you in a text file that you can download to your computer. I have used this site before, for the US, and it has worked great. I do note that the data file they give you is best initially viewed in a UNIX terminal window to see how it is formatted. If you don’t have that, viewing it in another type of program would be okay.
