Where can I donate 10 boxes of craft supplies?
I would suggest giving your craft materials to some organisation that is not supported financially by government or local authorities, so schools, etc would be out. My wife is a Division Commissioner in Girlguiding UK, the largest non-political organisation for girls and young women in the world. They receive no financial support from state, L.E.A., lottery, etc and I am absolutely certain that if you made your most generous offer to a local Guide, Brownie or Rainbow Unit they would snap your hands off – with gratitude!! If there are no units in your area contact Girlguiding UK (www.girlguidinguk.org.uk )and ask for your nearest Division Commissioner’s contact number.
Homeless shelters that take in children are always in need of activities for the children to do. Also there are shelter groups for foster care that take in children in emergency situations. They are often are over looked but are always looking for donations. They are always looking for activities they can do with the kids to keep their minds busy and off of the situation they are in. Contact a local foster care program and they will guide you to their location for shelter care. And of course there are always the typical schools, day care, scout groups, senior citizens homes, church groups… any non-profit group… Any donation you do anywhere should be greatly appreciated, and art and craft supplies can be extremely expensive. But 10 boxes… WOW!!!!!
