The County of Orange Collection Centers, located at 6411 Oak Canyon in Irvine and 32250 La Pata Avenue in San Juan Capistrano, accept household hazardous waste such as old paint, solvents, etc., at no cost. The Collection Centers are open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM. The centers are closed on rainy days, Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving and Independence Day.
