Where can I buy textbooks and course readers?

The Stanford Bookstore on campus has the official lists of required and optional texts for all Stanford courses, and offers on-line ordering for delivery or pick-up on campus. (If a course isn’t listed, it probably either isn’t offered this quarter or has no textbooks or readers.) While the Bookstore is the only source for course readers, you may well be able to find textbooks, particularly used ones, cheaper elsewhere. Sites like AddAll search dozens of online bookstores, but be sure to read the fine print on shipping times. If you’re trying to read ahead and the Bookstore hasn’t posted a course’s reading list yet, you can try to find it on the course website. If you find a website from a previous year, note that some courses may change their textbooks from year to year.
