Where can i buy saka saka or cassava leaves in the uk?
I would suggest an alternative, I use the chinese dried lotus or bamboo leaves, even here in Canada, I live in Toronto ON, I buy frozen banana leaves at some of the Asian grocery shops, the bamboo and lotus are dried, and can be rehydrated in water, and have a similar taste, but are not edible. When in the U.K the Last time, November of 2007, I was visiting friends in Liverpool, I am a former chef with extensive international experience, and I always reward them for the room they lend me with a meal they would not find in any restaurant in the area, I made a Mexican dish with the lotus leaves as I found them in one of there Asian shops in Liverpool. So look around the only other place for the cassava leaves would be an African shop that sells fresh produce or dried goods, they do have them in that form also.
