The best places to look are hobby shops, craft supply and stores that sell plastic model kits. Toy stores also sometimes carry animation clay, so it’s usually a good idea to try all of them. And always ask if they carry clay after you look through the store. I’ve learned from experience that new workers sometimes don’t know all the items they carry.
