I am looking for an Advent calendar with room for a tiny present in each day for my god-daughter. It should be a sturdy design so it can be brought out annually. Kate Toms at the Angel Bill Trading Co (01442 244091) makes lovely Advent calendars using two long strips of fabric, each with 12 pockets that can hold a present. Old fashioned pegs painted as snowmen and robins fix onto them to mark the days.The Great Little Trading Co has a good selection of re-usable Advent calendars. It has a fabric nativity calendar with pockets numbered 1 to 24, and a wooden Father Christmas.
