Before buying please know that you can rent them too. Most any tool rental firm will have them. They come in different sizes depending on what part of your system you need to snake. Certainly you can buy them at any home center store. Make sure you know what kind you need. Size of the line to be snaked and approximate length of the pipe will help you get what you need for the job. If you have any question ask a plumbing pro first. There are alternatives to snakes, one is to “bag” the line (using a bag that attaches to a water hose, is advanced into the line and uses water pressure forward of the bag to force the clog free. The bag becomes a back-flow preventer of sorts.) Again, how you go about unclogging depends on the part of the system in which you suspect a clog. Good luck!
