Where can I buy a decent stethoscope?

There are lots of medical supply websites online that sell stethoscopes. They’re available in a range of colours and prices. For a reasonable quality stethoscope, you’ll need to spend at least £50. Basically, the price increases as quality does. If it’s just something to keep her going during the first couple of years of her degree, anything should do, but get it off a medical supply website or it could be rubbish. My stethoscope (a Littmann) cost about £50 and was bought at a discount via my uni medical society. And it’s not an especially good one! So if you want to get her a really good one, you’d best be prepared to spend quite a bit. If not, leave her to buy her own. Most unis can offer them at a discount. Other ideas for a doctor-to-be: I was given a brilliant book by Michael Foxton, I think it was called Confessions of a Junior Doctor. It’s excellent, really funny and interesting. Or there’s a similar one called Trust Me, I’m a Junior Doctor. They should both be on Amazon. Other
