Where can I buy a cot that isn traditional and boring?
With my first baby due in two months, I am having a real problem finding a cot I like. They’re either all very traditional, too cheap looking, or just a little bit boring. Any suggestions? There’s not a huge amount of choice, but there are a couple of options to consider. George Gold’s Alto cot, from 485, is a simple design, made from a beautiful mix of woods like oak, ash and chestnut. If you want colour, then the toy firm Brio has made an inspired sideways move into nursery furniture, but it’s not yet available in the UK, so you could opt for a temporary Ikea cot and join the stampede when Brio arrives.
