Backyard Composters can be purchased at any of the recycling depots (while supplies last). To obtain a composter, simply visit one of Markham’s four recycling depots.

Township residents (only) can buy a home composter at the Township of Langley. Composters (80 gal) are available for the subsidized cost of $35. They are available at: • Civic Facility, 20338 – 65 Avenue – payment methods accepted are cheque, cash, credit or debit card • Operations Centre, 4700 – 224 Street – payment methods accepted are cheque or cash only If you arent a Township resident, suggested composter vendors are Home Hardware, gardening stores, or Lee Valley Tools.

Composters are recycled plastic bins for the garden. Waste deposited in a composter prevents odour you would normally find in your bin. All composters have a lid and hatch.
