Where can a 16 year old get a summer job that pays over 7.15 an hour?
When I was a kid I worked as a CNA in a nursing home. I had to take a two week class over the summer to get certified. Generally you can get the nursing homes to pay for these classes especially if you look for a job first or they will refund you the money. I made an awful lot of money. You can make anywhere from $12-14/hour. The place I worked at I worked every other weekend and anything other than my shift I got paid double time and they always needed people to work extra. It is not an easy job but lots of those places can really work with your schedule because they are in desperate need. I also worked at a hospital doing the same thing. It was a lot more money but with a lot less work.
