Where besides amsterdam is it legal to smoke pot out of the united states?
This misunderstanding pops up all the time there. It’s NOT legal to smoke pot in Amsterdam or anywhere else in the Netherlands. See other questions on this in the Netherlands section for details. Not being prosecuted in certain situations is not the same as “legal”. Smoking on the street will get you into problems. Following the link below, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden seem to have a similar set-up. In Belgium it’s similar. Illegal but not prosecuted if user is of average age, it poses no danger to him or hindrance of the surroundings. Oh, as to Canada, according to the site below: medicinal use only. Otherwise it’s zero tolerance.
