Where are x-ray technician programs offered?
• X-ray tech programs are available at technical institutes, community colleges, four-year colleges and universities, and hospitals, as well as within the U.S. Armed Forces. • X-ray technician programs generally range from one to four years. Aspiring radiographers have the option of earning a one-year certificate, two-year associate degree, or four-year bachelor degree. • Most individuals enter the radiography field with an associate degree from a community or technical college. The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology accredits more than 1,000 x-ray tech programs.
