Where are white sturgeon found in the upper Columbia River?
The two main groups of white sturgeon we are concerned about live in the Columbia River between Hugh Keenleyside Dam and Grand Coulee Dam and in the Arrow Lakes Reservoir. In addition, smaller remnant populations exist in the Revelstoke Reservoir and par of the Kinbasket Reservoir around Mica Dam (Big Bend.) The upper Columbia River populations are genetically distinct from those found in the Kootenay system.
