Where are we now in the Midcounty Corridor Study? What are the next steps in the planning process?
The projects purpose and need has been defined, and an environmental inventory of the project area has been completed. Alternatives are being developed. An evaluation of the preliminary alternatives has been performed. On December 12, 2007, an Alternatives Public Workshop was held to present the preliminary alternatives to interested citizens. The public workshop presented the range of alternatives being considered and gathered public input on recommendations for dropping and retaining alternatives for detailed study. Based upon their ability to meet purpose and need, impacts to the environment, and comments received from the resource agencies and the public, some alternatives will be retained and further evaluated. This analysis will be documented in a draft environmental document. For more information about the study process, please visit the Project Schedule and Process link on this website.
