Where are VOCs usually found?
VOCs are usually found at higher levels indoors than outdoors, often coming from home, office, school, arts/crafts and hobby products like: hairsprays, oven cleaners, dry-cleaning fluids, scents, rugs, home furnishings, photocopiers, certain printers, correction fluids and craft materials. Formaldehyde has been classified as a probable human carcinogen. Pesticides sold for household use are technically classified as semi-volatile organic compounds.
