Where are there other campsites near–but not in–Yosemite Valley?
There are campsites outside of the Park, in Briceburg, which is a 50-minute drive on State Highway 140. You can also check Dirt Flat and Dry Gulch, in El Portal, also a 40-minute drive. Also in El Portal adjacent to Cedar Lodge, there is the Indian Flat Campground. You can try (first come, first served) to camp in the Crane Flat campground, which is a 40-minute drive off of State Highway 120.
