Where are the SPARK grantees located?
Grants are supporting action plans to increase school readiness by coalitions that include schools, families, community organizations, child caregivers, and state agencies or advocacy groups. These partnerships are located in the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina and Ohio. Nationwide, SPARK sites include both urban and rural areas. SPARK is building on the existing efforts of grantee organizations that have strong track records of success in serving children. The W.K. Kellogg Foundation selected grantees in the eight localities based on a variety of factors, including previous Foundation investment and their high potential to achieve ready children, ready schools, and ready communities.
