The Russian orbital flights currently take place using the Soyuz launch vehicle from Baikonur in Kazahkstan, and may also eventually take place from Kourou in French Guiana. Both RocketShip Tours Lynx and Virgin Galactic will fly their suborbital trips initially from Mojave SpacePort, Mojave, California, and later Virgin will move to Spaceport America in New Mexico. Space Adventures has not announced where its Armadillo spacecraft will fly from or when. Others are also considering launches from a range of other countries, including Sweden and Australia. There are also many proposed spaceports across the USA, such as in Oklahoma, that may develop as the space tourism industry emerges. [back to top] Q13.
