Where are the shoes made?
The majority of our shoes are made in China. Whenever possible, we pick small companies that oversee the manufacturing of the material to the delivery of the shoes to the retailer (us). They not only control the quality of the material and shoe manufacturing, but also guarantee the workers’ rights (as in eight-hour days!). Sometimes, we will buy shoes from large companies, as well. These companies are reporting to the Fair Labor Association where their factories get audited for labor conditions, overtime, benefits, safety, etc. etc. It is very important to us that human rights are respected as well as animal rights.
