Where are the scarves made?
The scarves are made on the island village of Prek Bongkong located on the Mekong River in Kandal Province, Cambodia. The village, 20 miles away from Phnom Penh and accessible by ferry, is a small rural commune inhabited by warm hospitable local Cambodians. Despite the picturesque landscape and friendly natives, there is limited access to resources for development and the locals, majority of whom are farmers, generate meager incomes (an average of only 20-40 USD per month). This disadvantaged community is developing in a positive direction and we are trying to help them in that path.
