Where are the sandy beaches in the park? Are there beaches outside the park?
There are a number of sandy beaches in the park located at the developed sites. Park maps and brochures list the type of access each site has. If the access is listed as sand, then there is most likely a sandy beach at the site. Outside of the Park, there are sandy beaches at Woodenfrog State Forest Campground and City Beach (east of International Falls on County Road 20) and there is a beach in Ranier.
