Where are the safe beaches to swim in San Jose del Cabo?
Hola. Yes you are right. Costa Azul can be a problem in November. Only because the hurricanes of the summer have changed the beach to give it a sharp angle, hence the undertow becomes more drastic and not so enjoyable to swim in. If you pick a condo complex, rethink your plans and pick one with a great pool area for your 2 year old and go walking on the beach instead of swimming. You could also take the bus out to Chileno or Santa Maria bays (about 10 mins from SJD). Both beaches are in protected bays and make for really really nice swimming and snorkelling. Great day trips! I do this most weekends. Your options for Condos ON the beach are limited because most of the resorts take up this space. Yes El Zalate is okay, but I prefer La Jolla. Mykanos is alright too but like you know already — they are all on Costa Azul stretch of beach!! Your options expand if you get off the beach, picking places like La Costa or Laguna Vista.
