Where are the proceeds from the race donated?
Every year a portion of the proceeds from the race is donated to various Lowcountry charities. Last year, the Turkey Day Run gave money to more than a dozen Lowcountry charities including Birthright, St. Vincent de Paul, Lowcountry Food Bank, Crisis Ministries, Windwood Farm, Jenkins Orphanage, Neighbourhood House and East Cooper Community Outreach. Additionally, more than $13,000 was donated to the Heroes Fund, money that will help the families of First Responders who die or are seriously injured in the line of duty.
