Stone Mountain Park has a wonderful plantation with nineteen historically restored and decorated buildings. The Smith Plantation is in historic Roswell, half an hour north of Atlanta. Its original farmhouse and outbuildings are still intact. Stately Oaks, a Greek-revival antebellum home, is located in Jonesboro, about half an hour south of Atlanta.
