The states of California, Indiana, Hawaii, Ohio, New York, Massachusetts, Texas and Florida are the current hotbeds of open water swimming in America. Honolulu, San Francisco, Ft. Myers, Austin and New York City annually hold dozens of highly competitive races with New York City the site to 12 races alone including the world-renowned Manhattan Island Marathon Swim.
