Where are the nearest restaurants, shopping, wineries, etc?
— There’s a convenience store/deli that’s open early and late on River Road just a few hundred yards away. Guerneville has some restaurants and a Safeway and small health food store and some fun shopping. More serious shopping (Whole Foods, antiques, etc.) is in Sebastopol, about twenty minutes’ drive. And if you can’t find it there, Santa Rosa has all the big box stores, from 15 to 30 minutes’ drive. — Wineries are everywhere! Westside road (see the map from the question above) is lousy with boutique wineries, for instance.
