Lie #1: Nuclear weapons Iraq was reconstituting a nuclear weapons program; purchased high-strength aluminum tubes needed to enrich uranium, and sought to purchase significant quantities of uranium (yellowcake) from Africa. Fact: Both UN inspectors and CIA reports found no evidence of an Iraqi nuclear program. The documents claiming that Iraq bought uranium in Niger or other African countries were forgeries; the CIA knew this and reported it to the White House. The White House now admits the evidence it used was wrong. The aluminum tubes could not be used to enrich uranium. Lie #2: Biological and chemical weapons. Iraq has biological weapons and 100-500 tons of chemical weapons, which were dispersed and weaponized. After the war two mobile biological weapons labs were found.
