The Cayman Islands are located approximatley 150 miles south of Cuba and are made up of three main islands. Grand Cayman is the largest and most developed of the islands and has a population close to 35,000 and is 76 square miles or 22 miles long and 8 miles at its widest point. Grand Cayman is 90 miles west of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. What is the weather like? Situated only 20 degrees from the Equator, the Cayman Islands enjoy nice temperatures year-round (70-95F). The temperature peaks around July and is the lowest in February. Hurricane, or “wet season”, is from June through November and peaks around October. What monetary unit is used?
