Where are the Blu-ray and HD DVD Recorders?

Where are the Blu-ray and HD DVD Recorders? Wednesday August 8, 2007 Blu-ray and HD DVD Players have been available for some time now, but Blu-ray and HD DVD Recorders are non-existent. Of course you can burn video to Blu-ray discs using a computer Blu-ray writer (currently there are no HD DVD computer writers), but it would be nice to replace today’s DVD Recorders with Blu-ray and HD DVD Recorders. Eventually, the time will come when HD programming can be recorded to Blu-ray and HD DVD Recorders and played back without any downgrading of the picture quality (like when recording HD to DVD). I for one can’t wait. For more insight into Blu-ray and HD DVD Recorders, read the FAQ, Are There Blu-ray and HD-DVD Recorders? from Robert Silva, About Guide to Home Theater.
